The Trustees of Bishopton Parish Church wish to appoint a Caretaker for The Cornerstone, 3 Greenock Road, Bishopton. The building has a main hall and a number of smaller meeting rooms, and is used by a range of organisations throughout the week. The Caretaker will be responsible for ensuring access to the building at the appropriate times, laying out rooms with chairs and tables as required, and clearing, checking and securing the building after each use.
The working pattern is spread throughout the week and can be variable, both from week to week and seasonally. The appointee will therefore need to be flexible and adaptable in terms of availability. The position is offered on a part-time basis, based on a nominal workload of 10 hours per week across the year.
The salary for the position is £7,345 per annum, payable monthly in arrears. It is reviewed annually by the Trustees.
The successful applicant will join a small team based at The Cornerstone, and will work closely with the Halls Convenor and The Cornerstone Administrator. The Caretaker has a significant part to play in managing the use of the building, and the position requires a reliable, flexible and committed individual to ensure that organisations and groups have on-time access to the accommodation.
